Popular amusement parks
In Italy, there are a huge number of theme parks, almost every resort town has its own entertainment complex. Often, these parks are combined with zoos, botanical gardens, playgrounds, which allows you to diversify your vacation with children. However, there are also unique theme parks in Italy, the functions of which not only entertain visitors, but also help them learn a lot of new and interesting things. Most of these complexes are located near the coast and are designed for foreign tourists.
Italy in miniature
The theme park “Italy in Miniature” is located near the spa town of Rimini and is the oldest amusement park in Italy. Tourists from around the world gladly come here to enjoy the main attractions of the country. The main territory of the park is made in the form of an Italian “boot”, which presents both architectural masterpieces and some of the natural attractions of Italy. For a rather short time, visitors to the park have the opportunity to see everything the country is proud of – the famous cathedrals, the Colosseum in Rome, fountains, the Doge’s Palace in Venice, Mount Etna in Sicily, the Square of Miracles in Pisa and much more. Before the visitors’ eyes are presented more than 270 art monuments of Italy and other European countries. Models are made on a scale from 1:25 to 1:50 and are surrounded by roads, airports, railways with trains – all this makes the impression more real. There is a monorail above the park, from where you can see the entire exposition as “in the palm of your hand.” Every year, the park hosts entertainment programs. For children of different ages there are many attractions. You can learn a lot of interesting things about safe diving technology in an interactive dive school. Fans of learning secrets and making discoveries will surely enjoy the Science Fun Fair interactive lab. There is a canoe trip in the Italy in Miniature park and 55 meters high jumps on the Sling Shot. The romantics will be pleasantly surprised at the opportunity to “sail” on a gondola along the Venetian Grand Canal, and you can meet Casanova on Piazza San Marco. Reproduction of Venice, made on a scale of 1: 5 – the most popular exposition of the park. The park has several cafes and restaurants.

For a bite to eat or even a hearty meal, you can visit five themed restaurants (for example, a pirate restaurant or a cowboy’s saloon) or cafes. At the park there is also a hotel that looks like a princess’s house. Due to the large number of green spaces and alpine slides, the park can compete with some botanical gardens. You can get a free card at the box office. For the youngest visitors, Gardaland offers 16 corners of “fantasy”, where you can meet dancing and singing animals, travel on boats, boats, trains and planes or play in the pavilions “Peter Pen”, “Game Zone” and others. Older children are offered fascinating entertainments – riding on a pie, archery, visiting a cave with pharaohs and mummies, pirate rides and much more. For extreme people, there are also special entertainments, for example, dead loops on the Blue Tornado attraction. It is worth paying attention to the attraction “The Spectacular 4D Adventure”, which allows you to become a member of the expedition in four-dimensional space – then a huge mosquito wants to bite you, then your helicopter shot down a dinosaur.
